SHFC Showcases 4PH Projects in Maiden Philippine Urban Forum

PASAY CITY – The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) participated in the inaugural Philippine Urban Forum (PhUF) held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City on October 5 to 6, promoting its housing projects under the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Housing Program (4PH).

During the event, the corporation showcased its ongoing 4PH projects, which include Crystal Peak Estates in San Fernando City, Pampanga; Valley View Township in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental; and People’s Ville Phase 1-3 in Davao City.

Visitors were particularly drawn to a scale model of Crystal Peak Estates, which was signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during his inspection visit in July. The booth welcomed visitors, including local government officials, developers, and students, with SHFC personnel on hand to address their queries and concerns.

Executive Vice President Atty. Junefe Payot, representing SHFC President and CEO Federico Laxa, attended the forum’s opening ceremony, led by Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development  (DHSUD) Sec. Jose Rizalino Acuzar. Also in attendance were Legal Vice President Atty. Melanie Valenciano, Human Resources and Admin Vice President Atty. Tristan Frederick Tresvalles, and Mega Manila Vice President Engr. Elsa Juliana Calimlim.

Under the theme “Transforming our Cities and Building Resilient Communities,” PhUF brought together various stakeholders to foster broad-based inputs and knowledge exchange on housing, human settlements, and urban development. The event was a collaborative effort between DHSUD and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme.

SHFC is the lead implementer of 4PH, a program aimed at addressing the country’s 6.5 million housing backlog. In addition to the projects in Pampanga, Misamis Oriental, and Davao City, SHFC has projects in Tarlac City, Tanauan, Batangas, and Sta. Mesa and Tondo in Manila. Soon, housing projects are set to rise in Quezon City, Pasay, Manila, Palawan, and General Santos City
